I enjoyed walking to the nearby West End Beach, which is less than a 5-minute walk, and exploring the charming Historic Downtown Truckee, just about 3 km away, making my stay a delightful exploration of the area.

Staying at Donner Lake Village felt like I found a hidden gem in the U.S. The location right by the lake and the charming decor enhanced our experience. A minor hiccup with some utensils missed didn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend for a good stay!

The views from the room over the lake were amazing, especially at sunrise. I loved having a fully equipped kitchen-it felt like home, and we made some amazing meals together! The hotel is pristine and peaceful

I stayed here recently for two nights with my kids. The location was fantastic, right by the lake. The room itself had everything we needed, especially the well-equipped kitchen. Cooking breakfast felt like a breeze, and the cleanliness of the bathroom impressed me. The sauna across the hall was a lovely bonus after a long day out. However, we had some trouble with check-in. they promised to call when our room was ready but never did. Also, the sliding door faced a broken balcony, making it feel a bit unsafe with young kids around. It would’ve been helpful to have utensils for leftovers in the room, too. But despite these issues, we had a good time and overall enjoyed our stay.
